Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a Brit-American sitarist and musician. She was first in her age group to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is a student and child of Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded around from London to New Delhi. At the age of 13 the first time she performed was in New Delhi took place. She graduated in 1999 from her high schooling at Encinitas CA. Anouskha continues to have a bright music and acting career, even though she's young. She has been performing with her father on stage for several years. She has released Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. It was nominated for a Grammy Award. Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. Stage performance is a important aspect of her life. She's performed at many major venues all over the world. Anoushka Shankar's work isn't only limited to the music industry. Bapi: The love of My Live is her 2002 novel, and is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. In 2003 she starred as an Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. Anoushka is still progressing in her professional career, and will surely be other things to be expected from this amazing woman. Anoushka Shakar, born in England lived the majority of her life between London Delhi. When she moved to California she graduated from high school. When she was 9 She began studying music alongside her father. Her debut performance on the Sitar was during her birthday celebrations for her 75th birthday in Delhi, four years after. Anoushka was a part of her father throughout his global tour, gained a remarkable number of experiences. In her teenage years she performed in Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. To honor her position as one of the top musicians in Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
